The Mas La Plana by Miguel Torres presents a multi-layered bouquet that is characterized by typical terroir and grape variety aromas. There are hints of truffle, preserved red and black berries, juicy cherries and jam. These aromas blend harmoniously with the fine roasted and spicy notes that result from ageing in oak barrels – including nuances of toast, coffee and vanilla.
On the palate, the Torres Mas La Plana Penedès Cabernet Sauvignon DOP is full-bodied and supple. The tannins are strong, yet gently embedded in the spicy-sweet aromas of ripe dark berries and dark chocolate. A hint of gingerbread spices and licorice gives it a fascinating depth. This wine is powerful, concentrated and extremely elegant, with a lush richness and a lingering finish that evokes impressions of dark chocolate, toasted bread and coffee.
