Bjørn Grunau took over the small boutique at the end of 2019 and has since given it a real makeover. Light gray walls with white stucco set the scene for the displays, which showcase hand-picked gems from the international interior who’s who.
The owner’s signature is easily recognizable: Clear shapes and lines alternate with truly unusual pieces. A lifestyle mix that not only decorates rooms, but brings them to life. Bjørn Grunau’s great love of tableware, the extraordinary and his pronounced sense of aesthetics were instilled in him by his Norwegian mother. Before setting up his own business, the charming man in his forties gained plenty of experience in exclusive fashion and jewelry boutiques around Munich’s Maximilianstrasse – a time that shaped his service philosophy and his sense of taste. What has remained since then is a clear focus on the essentials, no compromises on quality and close cooperation with the best producers. Individual advice for all customers included.
Own table linen collection
The busy businessman is now working on his own collections of unusual table linen – and of course most of his products can also be personalized. Whether textiles for the kitchen, table linen or cushion covers – the large selection from Arcolaio, Eri, Le Jacquard Français or Tessiture Toscana leaves nothing to be desired.
Hand-picked porcelain, silver and glass
The selection of glass from Artel and Zalto, the finest faience and porcelain from Astier de Villate, Dibbern, L’Objet and of course the silver products from Christofle or Sonja Quandt is also impressive – all of which bring modern lines or playful designs to the home, depending on style and personal preference.
Gifts & Tea
The gifts are also of high quality, such as the poker or backgammon set from Giobagnara – the handmade leather trays are stylish, elegant and beautiful. The teas from Mariage Frères, which we love so much for a relaxing weekend, are delicious. And the colorful pins and brooches from Macon & Lesquoy are fun! We have fallen in love with the little red lobster!
