In the
Lartor
the first boutique hotel in the Ammergau Alps, you can enjoy three of the best things in life: relaxation, art and culinary delights. The view through the floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows into the Ammergau valley is breathtaking.
The rooms
All twelve rooms are furnished with attractive oak design furniture. Oiled oak parquet and soft colors exude a feeling of warmth. The glass shower tubes in the middle of the room are spectacular and bring urban luxury to the Alps. The art that can be found in all rooms of the hotel is also exclusive, as each room is dedicated to a different fantastic place, which is reflected in the pictures and accessories. So immerse yourself in the “Fountain of Youth”, explore the “Land of Cockaigne” or celebrate life around the “Venusberg”.
Fluffy towels and high-quality cosmetics, room safe, espresso machine and kettle, as well as complimentary mineral water round off the luxurious room facilities. Sustainable comfort items, such as slippers made from biologically recyclable materials, and the consistent avoidance of plastic are a contribution to a cleaner environment.
Next to the hotel is the mSE Campus with two modern conference rooms and the mSE art gallery, the sculpture garden and the
Restaurant Hieronymus
where lunch and dinner are also served in addition to a hearty breakfast.
Restaurant Hieronymus
Chef de Cuisine Lorenz Maria Grießer loves it cosmopolitan. Born in Tyrol, he learned his trade from Johann Lafer before living in Asia for several years. Today he presents the best crossover cuisine from his home country and the culinary hotspots of the world.
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in this alpine-urban restaurant around the open kitchen, where the chefs prepare the best meat, poultry and fish on the Japanese Robata grill to your exact specifications. Be sure to try the signature dishes, such as “Kokonda” made from raw salmon with grated coconut and Thai flavors or the crispy and juicy “Bondage Chicken” from the tandoor oven – and go on an enjoyable journey around the world.
Wine lovers will find fine wines from the Old World in the walk-in wine vault, which hangs from the ceiling of the restaurant. Craft beers from the region, drinks and cocktails await all fans in the sports bar.
Culinary events with guest chefs from all over the world take place regularly in the “Hieronymus Tasting Room”. In summer, the beautiful sun terrace with a view of the Ammertal valley and the cozy, laid-back pub garden with specialties from the food truck attract guests.
mSE Campus
The ensemble at Unterammergauer Weiherfeld is rounded off by the mSE Campus and the mSE Kunsthalle. A space for ideas, events and contemporary art. Business and art enter into a unique symbiosis here. The conference center offers the perfect place to develop new ideas in the beautiful Ammertal valley – whether for brainstorming in the Creative Lab, presentations, incentives or large events.
Sculpture garden
Works by Ernst Barlach or Wilhelm Lehmbruck in the foyer and by other renowned artists such as Lois Anvidalfarei outside the door in the sculpture garden, where the space and sound sculpture Sichtung III by Hildegard Rasthofer and Christian Neumaier awaits visitors alongside various works of art, guarantee inspiration of a special kind.
mSE Kunsthalle
On the upper floor of the mSE Campus is the mSE Kunsthalle, which offers a unique ambience for larger corporate events with over 100 participants. In addition to special events, the mSE Kunsthalle is primarily intended to be a special place for the public to admire spectacular contemporary and conceptual art. The internationally successful exhibition “KAIROS. The right moment” with paintings by Wolfgang Beltracchi and photographs by Mauro Fiorese. In Venice, Hamburg and most recently in Vienna, it was an audience success with almost 50,000 visitors.
