Here in the lobby of the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich, locals as well as international guests meet daily to enjoy the artful specialties of Chef Pâtissier Ian Baker.
His Maximilian’s cake is legendary, but the seasonal tarts and the classic Guglhupf are also worth every sin. Just like the daily afternoon tea between 3 and 6 pm.
Valentine’s Day chocolates
For this year’s Valentine’s Day, the master pastry chef has now created special heart-shaped chocolates: organic white chocolate on a crispy cookie base with strawberry and Greek yoghurt (6 pieces, €13, available at the hotel). Heavenly good!
Valentines Afternoon Tea
There is also a special afternoon tea in the hotel lobby for all lovebirds in Munich. Included are of course a rose for your loved one, a non-alcoholic welcome cocktail, a glass of rosé champagne, the sensual Valentine’s Day chocolates as a gift and of course the afternoon tea itself, which is served in two courses.
Around 30 hand-picked teas await guests in “Munich’s most beautiful living room” on Maximilianstraße. Flanked by all kinds of culinary delicacies in the English tradition: savory mini sandwiches, artful petit fours and of course: homemade scones with clotted cream and jam.
This should make it easy for Cupid. #LoveisLove.
